This installation is a monument in memory of the Angeles National Forest, a mausoleum for our dying world. Letters are covered with 200 wood stumps, relic of burned trees from the Angeles National Forest. The frame is embellished with 24 Carat gold leaves embedding both sacred and artificial values. Working with the wood from Angeles Forest gives the piece an esoteric and totemic dimension. The use of gold links the art to the divine. A vibrant connection between our superficial world and a greater meaning of life
